The building is not HAL.

What, you thought I’d show you what Violet’s face looked like? TOO BAD.

I’ve been working on improving my shading and the figures of the charicters, and I think the last panel turned out well. I also really like the greyscale effect in panel 5. I don’t know why, it just fits the mood.

I’ve had some comments from people, saying things like “Why do you color it in? Why not leave it greyscale or black and white? You could always get somebody to color it in for you later.” Well, I feel like having your comic consistantly in color gives a sense of quality to your work. Since it’s always been colored, I don’t plan on stopping.

<FAKE RANT STARTS HERE>

… what do you think this is? EL GOONISH SHIVE? THIS AIN’T NO EL GOONISH SHIVE! This is THE NOORDEGRAAF FILES! This is MY comic! I can do WHATEVER, WHENEVER, HOWEVER I WANT! If you’ve got a problem with that, THEN LEAVE FOR PETE’S SAKE! THERE’S PLENTY OF WAYS TO WASTE YOUR TIME ON THE INTERNET! I DON’T KNOW, AND I DON’T CARE! KINGKUMA, OUT!

(Note: Dan Shive, If you are reading this, I want to say this is sarcastic. I chose your comic as it has a similar art style to mine, and honestly, I admire the skill you have in shading your characters.  No offence intended.)

PS: Bonus points on figuring out what kind of sword Violet has. It’s made of calcite, (think teeth), and is self sharpening. it is based off the teeth of a sea urchin, which have microscopic layers, that when one flakes off, a new, razor – sharp layer is underneath.
