Chapter 11, page 15: Rules of engagement
Hey guys! Hope you all are feeling well this week. Covid’s pretty much wrapping up here in the states, which means I should be able to head back to college in the fall. I’ve got a bit more news about the comic, most notably in how the chapters are going to be broken up. As I’ve said before, I’ve been leaning towards a three-part story instead of four, because part 3 would only be three chapters long. Originally I was going to combine parts 2 and 3, as at the end of part 3 there’s a bit of a major event/cliffhanger, but now I’m not so sure. You see, combining parts 2 and 3 would make that the longest part, but I’ve always wanted the last part to be the longest, so I’m trying to choose between having the original four part story with part 3 being a sort of intermission or part 2.5, or combine parts 3 and 4. As this won’t effect the story at all, it doesn’t matter that much. Also I know some of you (like me) enjoy the relationships of various kinds between the characters, and for you people I made a spoiler-free chart of everyone who’s romantically attracted to each other. Granted, most of these relationships aren’t going to be important to the story in the slightest, but it’s still cool. Random fact/question I’ve had: Recently, out of pretty much nowhere, someone asked me if any of the characters knew how to play instruments. There’s two that I canonically know of: Edythe knows how to play piano (albeit poorly), and the Lady in White enjoys playing the violin. I know I rarely give any info, even side lore, about the lady in white, but that’s because I feel as a character she is at her best when little is known about her. Also – on the wings from last week – it was on the fourth page of chapter 3, or week 5 of the comic. That’s how far I plan ahead.
