I was going to name the page "Pipe Dream" but for certain reasons it has the name it has now.

So yeah, I managed to get a comic out this week! Woot!

As I said I”m college now, and therefore haven’t had much time to do much other art, but I’ve been finalizing Akila’s Dress for the upcoming dance/ballroom scene and drew a request that someone sent me. The picture of Akila’s dress is still a prototype, so I’m not posting that, but the request is visible below. Interesting Art Note: One thing that I find challenging is showing expression on characters that don’t have visible eyes: (For example: VIolet (with her mask), Trak – R (see above), and Octavian, to an extent. Normally I end up using the mouth and changing skin tone, but as Trak – R is a robot getting him to show emotion is rather hard. Still, I think I did a decent job showing his sudden fear in the second to last panel. A question I’m sure a few of you are going to ask is if he’s dead, or if what Kat did counts as “Murder”. Technically, he was never “alive” (Since for something to be alive it must consist of living cells) – but as he did have independent thought I can understand where said people might be coming from. However, since he’s still mostly intact, I kinda see this as him getting knocked into a coma than murder – murder would be more like taking him apart and melting him. Another note about him is that, in the story context, he is the perfect mage – killer. Due to him being mechanical, he’s immune to mind control, which is the thing that makes magic so dangerous. (More questions about magic, and mind control in particular, will be answered in chapter 8.) One last thing: Trak- R is thousands of years old. That’s why he’s intelligent – he was constructed as a normal (ok, maybe a bit elite) military robot with the ability to “learn”, but wasn’t destroyed (due to, at least in my headcanon, the war ending with both sides destroying each other.) Since he was left untouched for thousands of years, he slowly gained intellegence until he could think for himself. The other robots that were working with him are less free – willed. The Plane robot is kind of like a duplicate of him, while the robots that Vi fought have no intelligence whatsoever. There is not a plant producing self – aware, intellegent robots somewhere in the comic’s universe – Trak – R is an anomaly, and quite possibly one of a kind. He’s also one of my favorite characters in terms of backstory and apperance, so who knows, maybe I’ll end up liking him enough to find a way to put him back into the story. (I hope so.)

Also on the whole game review thing I do every once in a while: The reason I haven’t reviewed Minecraft or Terraria or Borderlands (yes, I enjoy a good shooting game every once in a while,) isn’t because I don’t like them (They’re some of my favorite games), it’s that they’re already really well known, and (with the exception of XCOM), I try and talk about games you might not have heard of. I’m planning on featuring a game next week if I have time, so there’s that to look forward to.

There’s about 2 pages left in this chapter. For the “Inbetween Comics” I decided I’d post old art of things that got cut from the end result that I still thought were cool enough to post. Oh yeah, and my animation is in a GIF format so you can post it places too. (See below side art.)
