As you might have seen by the title of the page, I’ve been publishing my comic for one whole year, with a new page each week. To celebrate, I made a few polls:

• Vote for your favorite male character!
• Vote for your favorite female character!
• Vote for your favorite character overall!

I want to get as many answers as I can on these, just so I can know which characters are the most popular.

 

Other stuff:
I’ve been getting a few questions lately, and I thought I’d post my answers out here so everyone can see them.

Question: Do the characters see each other in the way the comic is drawn?

Answer: No. They see each other as actual people. The art style is secondary.

Question: Are they aware they are in a comic?

Answer: No.

Question: What is Katrina’s ethnicity?

Answer: Her father was Irish and her mother was Japanese.  She looks more like her father.

Question: What are the other character’s ethnicities?

Answers: (Of the ones I have determened)

• Katrina: 1/2 Japanese, 1/2 Irish
• Violet/Ezra: Cambodian
• Andromeda: French
• Chris: English
• Orion: Possibly Eastern European
• Circe: Chinese
• Akila: Mediterranean? (As in the area – nereids don’t really have ethnicities)

Question: Are there going to be actual villain(s) in the comic?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Are Akila and Katrina a couple?

Answer: Decide that for yourself.

Question: Why does Orion wear his hair in such a strange way?

Answer: He’s missing an eye.

Question: How’d he lose that eye?

Answer: Childhood fight gone badly wrong. Let’s just say he ended up better off than the other guy.

Question: Why does Akila change from friendly to seductive so quickly?

Answer: The best way I can describe her is having a very slight split personality. One half is her more primal, nereid half, and the other is her more reasonable, hunanlike half. She kinda tends to switch between the two at random intervals, as seen above.

Question: Given the chance, would Akila try and seduce Violet?

Answer: Yes, but she’d end up impaled and stuck to a wall.

Question: Why do Violet and Katrina dislike each other? Since they’re so similar, they should be friends.

Answer: They’re both jealous of each other. Katrina is jealous of Violet because she is in a lasting relationship and is a better fighter, and Violet is jealous of Katrina because she thinks Katrina has had it easy and she feels Katrina is better looking.

Question: Who do you think is the coolest character in the comic?

Answer: She’s not in the comic yet. Currently it would be Violet.

Question: When can I get a freaking t – shirt?

Answer: I’m designing one that’s spoiler – free now. Hopefully it will be out in a month.
