Chapter 10: Page 9: Squaring Up
Hey guys! Not much text this week, as I have to get ready for finals – fingers crossed I do well. One question I’ve gotten about the upcoming fight (next week) between these two is “Why wouldn’t Theo have used the magic stopwatch thingy to freeze time and just run away?” There are two answers for this. One: He doesn’t have it on him at the moment. Two: The lady in white can read minds. If he was trying to use it, she’d know and would probably telekinetically grab it from him, and then probably kill him for “cheating”. Also, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to use it much, because if he’s carrying it in his pocket and she just kills him before he can use it, she now has the ability to stop time, which would make her invincible for all practical purposes. She could freeze time, kill somebody, walk away, unfreeze it, and nobody would be able to stop her. It’s too risky for Theo to carry it, as it probably wouldn’t make much difference in a fight, and would also likely benefit his opponent more than him. One other thing: I’ve had people ask how Violet is able to carry things and move her fingers if half of them are fake. Basically, they’re mechanical, and before you go telling me that that is unrealistic, we have that already right now, and this comic takes place a few years in the near future. Speaking of Bionic Limbs and Body parts, that is one of the many charities on this year’s Yogscast Jingle Jam! I know I shout them out every year, but it’s for a good cause, and there are some seriously good games in there, some of which I’m probably going to review at this point. It’s 35$ usd or 25 english pounds, and you can get it here. The key email might show up in spam though, so make sure to check. And if you don’t want games, you can donate any amount as just a normal charity donation. It ends on the 14th, so you might want to move fast! Anyway, I got to go, so see you next week, an happy holidays.
