TL;DR: Akila finds the fact that Theo is physically weak and innocent a turn on and wants to sleep with him. Or maybe she's just messing with his head. Who knows.

Hey guys! Glad you all could check in this week. I don’t have loads of personal news or side art, but I do have a little bit of comic news: I’m looking for a place to store all my side art, and I think I’ve found a good spot for it; Newgrounds. Turns out Newgrounds has an art section as well as games, and if I can manage to remember my password to my account from 2015 I think we’ll be in business. So yeah, look out for that.

Some more or less random comic lore information: You may have honestly forgotten that the characters in this comic know how to fight using kinds of medieval weaponry, as it hasn’t been touched on yet. A few fun facts:

  • Theo’s sword design is heavily inspired by Sting from The Lord of the Rings movies. He probably won’t use it much.
  • Kat originally used a shortbow before I decided to use a crossbow for practicality.
  • Akila and the tendency of the nereids to use spears is due to the fact a thrusting motion is much easier to perform underwater than a chopping one. Nereids do not have metalworking, so metal spears are a sign of high standing, and the crown of the nereid queen is made of old metal human spearpoints. Akila’s weird crystal spear is probably gonna get removed as I’ve grown to dislike it.
  • Lars may end up not using a claymore in the actual fight chapters. I’m working on a few other longsword designs.
  • Orion originally was meant to use a sword that was more like a massive steel plate with sharpened edges, but I chose him to use a blunt weapon as nobody used one. I’m currently trying to decide between a mace or some kind of big hammer

That’s all I have for this week, see you next saturday.
