Is it really that time again?

Hi everyone! Sorry its taken me so long to give another update, I’ve recently moved into my first proper apartment and then had my power cut for four days due to a bad windstorm tearing up electric poles. While I dont have loads of news for upcoming events in the comic, I cand at least give you all a bit of background info into the comic itself. Simply put, nowadays the comic takes a lot longer to produce per page then it used to. Early pages had maybe 20 layers at most and took around four hours, but nowadays I’d wager it’s on average 30ish layers and takes anywhere from 6 to 8. Magic effects are particularly time consuming – every aura around a person is three separate layers, not counting stuff like secondary lighting – and given there’s been a lot of that stuff recently, it’s been rough. Additionally I’ve been putting a lot of effort into avoiding the comic just being a bunch of talking heads and having better perspective in my backgrounds, which often leads to me redrawing someone or something three or more times before it looks acceptable. I’m still proud of my work, though. In other words, the comic is still enjoyable to make, and I have no plans to stop it regardless if people even bother to read it – it’s just that the higher standards of quality I have generally make it take longer. See you next week.
