Ok, apparently I made a sort of faux pas last week. When I said Akila was Bisexual and made her flirt with Theo, I apparently bought into a stereotype that bisexual people are all really flirty. This was not my intention at all, as I’ve said, Akila’s species is the reason she’s flirtatious – not because she’s Bi. Sorry if anyone was offended by this.

 

Ok, random history tangent:

There was a side – conflict during WWII between the Soviet Union and Finland, (who was at that time allied with germany). So the finnish had driven the soviet troops out of the city of Viipuri, but the soviets had buried thousands of sound – activated mines, which would detonate whenever a certain three – note tone was played. The finnish managed to dig one up, and they figured out how to get rid of them.

 

 

Polka.

Yes, they cleared a minefield with polka music. They found a very popular finnish polka song, added the three – tone note to it, and played the song over 1500 times, until they had transported actual radio – jamming equipment to the site.
