Katrina, now with curves!

Click here for an animated version.

As you may have noticed, I’m still trying to make the characters somewhat more humanlike. I KNOW Theo’s hands look weird in the last panel, but hands are hard to draw. Also people have stated that “you’ve been publishing this comic for over a year and the plot hasn’t progressed at all.” Wait just a bit more. Stuff starts happening during Katrina and Theo’s trip to the market, and during the scene following THAT, the story really kicks off. Thanks for being understanding.

I don’t have much lore for you guys this week, but I finally got that comic – con story written, so here goes.

So, two to three weeks ago, I attended the comic – con downtown in the convention center. I had never really been to anything like this, (I had been to a small one held by the library, but only 20 people attended,) so I wasn’t really sure what to expect from something of this scale. I went in – costume (it’s kind of a prerequisite when attending one of these things), and honestly had a pretty good time. The entire thing was more or less a gigantic store for merch, done by independent artists. (I bought a mug as my souvenir, see below for image.) Some of the costumes there were REALLY well made, (there was a really well done Doctor Strange costume, complete with glowing hand circles.) Since I was in costume, you have to go through a sort of “check – in” to make sure whatever weapon you’re carrying can’t actually be used as an actual weapon. While I was checking in, the person behind me turned out to be from the same comic as I was, and I ALMOST started a conversation with them – but then I realized two things; 1. They were a solid 5 years older than me, 2. They were there with their boyfriend. This second one was even MORE of a problem, since in the comic, their character and my character are dating. I got out of there fast. Other than that, I had a decent time.

Honestly I'm not a Bioshock fan but there's something about drill suits that I just love.

I also did a sketch of Katrina in a dress that I realize I may have made a bit too short.Go ahead, put this on a body pillow, I don't care.
