Actually, someone did find Ezra.
So guys, I’m back! I managed somehow to live through finals, and now I’ve got time to kick back for the winter holidays. Yaaaaay! I’ve been planning out the script for the upcoming scenes, and I feel Davis is becoming a more important character than I initially intended. I’ve been doing a bit of art for him as a sort of character portrait, but I don’t know if it will be out by next week. Another topic: I feel like I did a good job of making the characters have various body types, and I’m kind of proud of that. Quite a few series (not just comics) have all the characters basically have the same body shapes. This is especially prevalent in female characters, which I’ve intentionally tried to avert. Short (Akila), Tall (Violet), Muscular (Katrina), Feminine (Andromeda), Flat-chested (Edythe),and Large-chested (Circe). The guys were a bit easier to vary, but overall they have varied bodies as well.

Quick in-universe note about Akila’s comment about “Her people”: Most people in the comic’s verse’ have one of three opinions on Nereids: A. They don’t exist, B. They exist and are incredibly manipulative fish-people who kidnap humans, or C. They exist and they’re actively working to exterminate humanity. Now, both of those have some basis in reality, (the amount and what parts I’m not telling), but in most cases they’ll leave you alone if you don’t bother them. And yes, it is true: Nereids do eat people – Akila has eaten humans before – but only on very special occasions. Although, if you were living underwater, eating only raw fish for every meal, a meal of human would be like the equivalent of living off dry crackers for a year and then one day getting a really nice, juicy steak. I know what I’d do.

See you all next week.
