Chapter 9, Page 3: Predictablity
Hey guys! Now, before you all get on my case for having Violet getting dressed for seemingly no reason, let me explain. The main reason Violet wears her full body nylon thing is mainly to cover up the artificial body parts she has (e.g. her fingers and legs). This was more or less the best way I could introduce what she looks like as of now without just having two characters discuss it. Second Note: When a panel has a red color filter, like the third one, and Violet is in the scene, it’s my way of saying this is from Violet’s POV. I was going to have a sort of HUD (heads – up display) on it, but in canon Violet doesn’t have that, so I went without it. In my head, Violet’s eye acts as a sort of night vision – but I’m not sure if it’s like an infrared camera or if it just lets her see in the dark, and went with the second one in the artwork mainly due to the fact that having it look like an infrared camera would make Theo look like a blob. As I’ve said before, the eye is the only bit of cybernetic augmentation Violet has, and even as far as technology goes we have things like it, so its not a very futuristic camera, besides the way it goes straight to her brain. Note: Even though it’s a camera, it doesn’t make her immune to being mind controlled to see things differently. It’s still connected to her brain, so that image that she receives can be blocked and/or altered.
