Hey guys! Sorry for not putting any text on last week’s comic, I just don’t have tons of stuff to comment on. Overall, these pages are some of the happiest in the comic, so they have a really light colored background between panels. I try and make the comic not overly lighthearted or overly gloomy, since that’s what life is like. I’ve never understood the merits of something that’s overly dark and depressing for no good reason, but some people seem to love that sort of thing. I don’t get why, but sometimes for something to be considered art it has to be really angsty, and tug on the heartstrings, even though there isn’t any real qualification for what makes a work great. Granted, my comic used to be kinda like that, since I was kinda down in the dumps when I wrote it, but now it’s less depressing as I’ve slowly revised the storyline. Also, if you have a very sharp eye, you may have noticed that on page 9 – 2 Violet’s dress has no sleeves, but it does in this panel, and that’s because I felt it looked better with them for some reason. This look for Violet’s dress is rather old, and hasn’t changed much.
