Ok, so this is the first page in part 2! I can’t believe it’s been over two years already! Not to give anything away, but part two prominently features the developing relationships between the characters, and the arrival of the main antagonist. (I’m gonna have to nail the scene where they show up. It’s important.) The title of this page comes from the fact I didn’t want to have any real stereotypes in the guy who’s doing the mugging, so I tried to make him the most generic looking criminal you could think of. You know, like the burglars in home security commercials – white men with stubbly beards and black hoodies.

I’m going to touch up the video, I’m just really busy with college stuff right now. Sorry.

I’ve got a few other questions that were asked that didn’t get into the Q&A rounds, so here are some of them.

Q: What was it when Akila was speaking in commas and apostrophes back in chapter 5?

A: She was talking in whatever you’d call the Nereid language. Not to go into detail, but basically it involves combining a few root words in different ways and adding modifiers to make new words.

Q: Is Akila Aromantic?

A: She very well could be. I never really thought about it before this question was asked, but it makes sense – she’s not really interested in spending romantic time with one partner. Not to say she’s asexual – she’s not – but my best guess would be she’s on the edge of being aromantic, having a few people she does kinda have romantic feelings towards – but in almost all cases she’s not into romantic relationships.*

Q: How much taller is Katrina than Theo?

A: I got this question when the video came out – I used a lot of 3D character models to help with posing, and it’s fairly obvious that Kat is somewhat taller than Theo. In – canon she’s around 4 – 5 inches taller than him – height runs in her family. I could have gotten the height wrong on the models though.

Q: Are Theo and Kat a couple now?

A: More or less in name only. The most intimate he’s going to get with her as of now is probably a hug. Kat likes to take relationships really slow.

*(Footnote from question 2) Note: I am a heterosexual male. Please do not get upset if I mischaracterized aromanticism- I tried to get this right (I asked somrbody who actually is aromantic to see if the whole “Aromantic except in one or two cases” thing is realistic, and they gave it an OK, so that’s why I put it that way. I know the lines between Sexual and Romantic relationships are blurry, and I try to avoid describing the more sexual natures of the characters, so that’s why there isn’t much information given on exactly what Akila would identify as.
