Chapter 10, Page 11: Rigged from the start
Hey guys! Tried something different this page. It was actually a complete accident, as I more or less filled the whole background in black, instead of just one panel. It ended up looking pretty good though, and I might do it again, eventually. I’ve been asked why the lady in white tries to make Theo play by the rules, if she knows she could just kill him whenever she wanted to, and to be honest, there is more than one reason. The first (and biggest one) is she really doesn’t like being lied to or tricked, so by establishing said rules people are much less likely to try. Secondly, it makes people much easier to predict, which is something she is quite good at, and often uses to her advantage. There’s a third reason, but I can’t really reveal it as of now, because it would give away information about her character that gets revealed later. I can’t say much, but just know that she’s not just a generic homicidal bad guy. Her story is entwined with almost everything in the comic, and the story wouldn’t even exist without her. One last note: I’ve gotten a few questions about her age, and while in story it may be a bit hard to nail down, from Theo’s point of view, he’d estimate she’s late twenties to early thirties.
I also made this PC background out of the fourth panel. Enjoy.
